Black Bean Hummus

I was craving hummus today (when am I not?) but we didn't have any in the fridge. We also didn't have any chickpeas. But we had four cans of black beans. This was my first time making black bean hummus and I think it turned out really well. It's just spicy enough to be interesting and has a nice depth to it from the sesame seeds. Ingredients 1 can organic black beans 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper 3/4 tsp cumin 1/4 tsp onion powder 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/4 lime squeezed 1/2 tsp salt Directions 1. Dump sesame seeds into a food processor and pulse. (I just ground the seeds finely, but you could continue until it makes a paste... that could take a while). 2. Add the rest of the ingredients (I used all the liquid from my can of black beans, but if you want thicker hummus, don't use all of it) and pulse until it is smooth. 3. Serve!
